The highlight of this
month's LAFA's breakfast fly-in at X51 was an informative talk by members of
the Miami Glider Club whot recently moved their operations to Homestead
General Airport.
During the talk we
learned that the Miami Gliders will be using the paved runways 18 and 36
(even when the active runways are 9 & 27), so we will all have to be extra
careful when looking for traffic in the area of Homestead General.
Thank you Claire, Ida
and Ron for the (as usual) really great breakfast!

Congratulations Tony
Utset on his new 2001 Flightstar. He bought it in North Carolina and
brought it back to its new home at X51. It is powered by a Rotax 582,
includes a full enclosure, and has colors that are really hard to miss. This
fly-in breakfast was its "LAFA debut".
