April's
Fly-in & Breakfast Safety Seminar was hosted by LAFA's very own resident
Doctor and Emergency Physician, Dr. Roberto Gines.
After a bountiful breakfast, Dr. Gines gave us a
graphical discussion of the do's and don'ts about emergency first aid.
This was a very practical, enlightening and
potentially life-saving seminar complete with examples, printouts and
photos. Although we all hope never to need the information learned, in
the event of a flying (or any other) emergency, our chances of survival will
now be greatly improved.
If
you missed out on the seminar, ask Cap'n Bob for a handout next time you see
him.
The seminar was followed by practice torpedo
(softball) runs in anticipation of the upcoming July Air fair. (The
cardboard target ship on the runway was hit but not sunk).

Other events that we'll have to practice for before
the July Air fair include bomb drops (bags of
flour &/or beanbags), formation flying, and candy drops.
Thank you Roberto for an excellent safety
seminar!
